2014 and 2015 mark the centenaries of the outbreak of WW1 and the Gallipoli campaign when ANZAC was born.
Christopher Bowen, the renowned composer and Director of the Sydney University Graduate Choir, is composing a major work to acknowledge these centenaries with a particularly Australian accent. The choir (SUGC) will perform this work in the Sydney Town Hall on Sunday, August 10, 2014, with a large orchestra, internationally recognised soloists and we are inviting other experienced choristers to join us for this outstanding event.
Sunday, August 10 at 3.00pm at Sydney Town Hall.

Reaction to Christopher Bowen’s music: SUGC has premiered a number of Christopher’s compositions, most recently in 2011, and really enjoyed the experience, finding the music melodious and very finely tuned to the sentiments expressed in the texts.
Singing fee for choristers: $130 to include the chorus score and rehearsal CD and postage. (If flash drive required, add $5). This fee also includes a copy of the concert program.
Registration with payment will be via a dedicated web-site, starting in January.
At this time, we are requesting Expression of Interest. This is the only form for expressing your interest in singing with SUGC in August, 2014. If you would like to sing with us, please click on Expression of Interest.
From the expressions of interest received, invitations to register formally and pay the fee will be made during January to February. As you will understand, invitations will be made to represent a balance of voice parts.
