Welcome to Sydney Sings™!

Welcome to Sydney Sings™, the home of massed choral events mounted by the Sydney University Graduate Choir and orchestra, in the Sydney Town Hall. These events involve professional soloists and orchestra, together with Sydney University Graduate Choir augmented by guest choristers from Sydney and beyond.

The Sydney Sings™ concert series will return to the Sydney Town Hall on  Sunday 10 November 2019 with a performance of Brahms’ A German Requiem (Ein Deutsches Requiem).

Sydney University Graduate Choir invites singers from other choirs to join us in singing this magnificent work in November.

You will find the details of how to join us and what is involved here.

Joan Carden Award 2019

An important objective of the Choir is ‘the encouragement and promotion of choral music in Australia through … the development and sponsorship of young singers’. With this in mind, in 2004 an annual award was established to provide financial encouragement to an outstanding young classical singer. Distinguished Australian soprano Joan Carden AO OBE graciously agreed to lend her name and, most generously, her time as judge to the award.
